I'd keep the engine in running order; you never know what use you might have for it. I don't think I'd leave the battery on it when you're gone, though! lol
That's the cool thing about the battery compartment - it's on the side of the bus and easy to unhook! Going to haul the battery with us and start it every time we go to the land.
ohh jeez you gone all hippy on me now!!!.. next thing you know it will be oil of petunia, patchouli perfume and giggle twig cigarettes... love the bus and the possibilities but for god's sake stay away from the lava lamps.
Love the new bus. Wish I had one like it.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting one for a long time. I wish it was a little more road worthy, but we're pretty much just going to put it on the land and leave it.

ReplyDeleteMy wife said last night, "Now that we have the bus, we can be hippies!"
DeleteMy reply? "I'm puttin' in a gun rack, immediately."
Wooooo hoooo! Rock on! So freakin' awesome.
ReplyDeleteWe are psyched!
DeleteI lived in a school bus made into a camper for a year in NH as a kid. We had no running water either. It can be done.
ReplyDeleteIt's always encouraging to hear stories from people who have done it. There's a huge school bus conversion following out there.
