Refinishing an Old Western Cutlery Knife for My Brother-in-Law







Soaking the blade in white vinegar to remove the rust and add a blue patina.  After soaking the blade, be sure to wipe it down well and oil immediately.

  2. It is crazy how much vinegar works with renewing knives. I mean it's not like it looks brand new, but it looks much better =D

  3. The knife an exact match to Daddy's hunting knife. He's been gone twenty years. I wonder what happened to his knife. A nice job you did on this one.
